Chiron was discovered in 1977.
It is an asteroid/comet orbiting between the Planets Saturn and Uranus.
Chiron is referred to as "the wounded healer" within ourselves.
We all carry this nearly fatal wound somewhere in our lives.
It is ironic that we do our best work sometimes in the area of our lives we are most wounded.
It brings to mind the phrase, "Physician, Heal Thyself."
Nietzsche said that whatever doesn't kill us strengthens us.
It's important to know and where Chiron falls in our natal chart.
When a Natal Chart is erected, we can tell what astrological sign and House of the Zodiac
Chiron falls in.
For many knowing about Chiron validates a wound they feel and facilitates enough healing of
that wound so the person can be of service to others.

Under the Influence
If you are reading this, you are
likely under the influence. I’m not
speaking of alcohol or drugs, but the dynamic tensions in The Heavens between
the Planet Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. It is a cosmic whammy to be sure, and it may
drive many to imbibe for sure. But we
cannot escape its influence. It is a
struggle between crystallized form in our world and the pioneer spirit to set
things in motion for change and betterment.
And what a dilemma it is! The powers that be rarely, if ever, want to
share, let alone relinquish their power.
And within us there are power places that are entrenched and perhaps in
need of shaking up.
We see in our countries the struggle
between the tried (but not necessarily true), and the longing for a progressive
change to make our societies more just and equitable. Make no mistake that clashes like this are
not easy and usually involve hostility, aggression, and even war.
In our personal lives we are likely
at this time to be involved in a major conflict between the traditional and
innovative some place in our lives.
Since life is change, I believe that the Planet Uranus in Aries will win
over any resistance of Pluto in Capricorn.
Need it be at the price of violence?
Shouldn’t tradition mete out
transition incrementally and harmoniously?
Didn’t it say in The Book of Isaiah, “Come, let us reason
together?” True. But on our ego laden planet it rarely works
this way. Uranus is lightning bolt
change, seemingly out of the blue. But it is nevertheless needed and
timely. Capricorn is the preserver of
life as we know it and live it.
Something’s got to give.
If these changes within our societies
and within ourselves are to go more smoothly, then we must remember that love is
letting go of fear. And we are being
called upon to relinquish a hell of a lot of fear these days in order for a
more peaceful way of conducting our affairs, our lives.
The Square of Uranus in Aries to
Pluto in Capricorn is not proving easy.
We can feel the dynamics. Occupy
Wall Street (Uranus in Aries) against Wall Street itself (a wonderful example
of Pluto in Capricorn). Here we see the
spontaneous, out of the blue action of people suddenly coming together (the
ninety-nine percent) against an entrenched power base of one percent holding
all the wealth.
Where is the “occupy movement”
happening in your chart? Your life? If you supply me, The Blogging Astrologer,
with your birth date, place of birth, and exact time of birth, I can help you
sort out the area in YOUR life where you are experiencing this incredible
stress to reform a part of your life
against incredible odds both within yourself and likely from without as well. Knowledge is power indeed.
